CalArts Class of 2002 Graduate Exhibition

April 6 to April 13, 2002

Track 16 proudly presents the CalArts Class of 2002 graduate exhibition curated by Charles Gaines and Martin Kersels. This exhibition consists of works by twentynine Masters of Fine Arts students from the School of Art and features a broad range of practices and mediums, such as painting, sculpture, photography, installation, video, and performance. The exhibition will open with a reception for the artists on Saturday, April 6 from 6 to 8 PM at Track 16 Gallery at Bergamot Station, and will run through April 13.

The individuals and collaboratives participating in this exhibition include: Michael Baers, Makeda Best, Barb Choit, Cheryl Cotman, Noel Dahl, Karl Erickson, Mark Flores, Mark Hagen, Seungsoo Hong, Violet Hopkins, Kat Jurati, Rebecca Kandel, Kopp/Kordansky, Justin Lincoln, Stephanie Martz, Rodney McMillian, Laurie Nye, Brian O'Connell, Kelly Poe, Jessie Proksa, Valerie Schultz, Roland Seto, Noelle Tan, Toxic Titties, Nicolau Vergueiro, Josh Weinberg, Shane Willis, and Christine Wuermell.

In conjunction with the exhibition, and as part of the ongoing Track 16 Nights series, a panel discussion titled "Artist as Writer, Artist as Curator, Artist as Artist" will take place on Friday, April 12. Panelists will include both distinguished guests and artists featured in the exhibition.
