“Blinky 30th Anniversary,” Rainbow Garden: Pet Cemetery Sculpture Park, Los Angeles Pet Memorial Park, Calabasas, CA, (Eastern Orthodox Easter holiday) April 27, 2008
Here are some photos from a recent performance on the exact anniversary of Blinky's burial. At the pet cemetery people often want to but offerings on their pet's graves--but that is not permitted. So instead they have instituted Rainbow Garden where one can deposit kitsch lawn ornaments and such in the park in memory of the dead pets. The project was coming along quite good, but I thought it needed a boost, so I went to some thrift stores and came out with about 75+ additional statues to add to the sculpture park, in honor of the friendly chicken's 30th. Victoria Reynolds and Dave Shulman were in attendance. Several beautiful statues were donated by Dinky Bonvillain.
